Beginning construction of chapel

This shows the concrete floor and the columns for the building that will serve as the chapel and assembly hall at Living Stone Seminary. The shape of the building posed a complex task in designing the roof structure. This job was undertaken by Missionary Jin using a computer design program.

LSS Chapel

This picture shows the state of the chapel at the beginning of 2010. The red metal roof was imported from Korea while the concrete blocks that enclose the building were manufactured on site.

Two campus buildings

Here you see the Living Stone Campus as it looked in March of 2010. The academic building and chapel are nearly complete. These are only the first of a number of buildings planned. When construction is finished, the campus will have a science building, a cafeteria, dormitories for students, and housing for faculty. Andrew Park designed the academic building as he did all of the buildings on the TCBC campus.

Regional Commissioner

The ceremony on the day that the corner stone of Living Stone Seminary was laid was attended by over fifty local officials including the Regional Officer for Tanga. This is the man standing to the left of Andrew and Esther. The ceremony was broadcast on local television. This picture was taken inside the academic building.
